Located in Seneca Falls, NY – the birthplace of the American Women’s Rights Movement – the National Women’s Hall of Fame is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and honoring changemaking women across all disciplines. In addition to the Hall’s extensive programming and museum, they also biannually induct extraordinary women into the Hall of Fame. Inductees have included Maya Angelou, Susan B. Anthony, Lucille Ball and more than 300 others.
As a 100% women-owned company, Vault was especially honored to support the Hall’s 31st Induction Ceremony and help amplify the stories of inductees. From developing essential donor communications to assisting with the ceremony itself, our team played a vital role in ensuring the event’s success during its first year on a larger stage in New York City.
The Hall relies on individual contributions from their 1848 Society members (named for the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention) as well as donations from various foundations and companies. Vault bolstered this donor outreach through key messaging and collateral development, refreshing design and emphasizing the impact of contributions to the Hall’s mission.
With Vault’s support, the Hall raised more money in three months than the full prior year, with more than 400 donors and sponsors contributing to the Induction Ceremony. This staggering amount of generosity came from a healthy mix of long-time and first-time donors, laying a foundation for strong fundraising in the future.
The 2024 ceremony welcomed 10 trailblazing women into the Hall, including tennis superstar Serena Williams and civil rights activist Ruby Bridges. Seizing the opportunity to share the exciting news, the Vault team hit the ground running with our tactical media outreach.
In November 2023 alone, our team successfully generated media buzz about the 2024 inductees worth more than 80 million impressions. Press coverage ranged from national outlets like the Associated Press to social justice outlets like Because of Them We Can.
Vault deftly integrated ourselves into the Hall’s team leading up to the event, assisting their staff and Board through every step of the planning process. Through close collaboration with event vendors and the client team, we provided a wide range of support, including media relations, script and speech writing, event production and inductee communications.
On March 4, 2024, in New York City, Vault was on-site to assist in the rousing induction of Patricia Bath, Ruby Bridges, Elouise Cobell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Peggy McIntosh, Judith Plaskow, Loretta Ross, Sandy Stone, Anna Wessels Williams and Serena Williams, honoring their achievements and marking an incredible moment in women’s history.
Vault leveraged the success of that one night to extend the Hall’s influence and meet more organizational goals. Results included:
Since the Induction and its partnership with Vault, the Hall has expanded its membership and followers exponentially, broadened its impact, and emerged on the national stage as a vibrant cultural institution.
And by work, we mean exceed your expectations every step of the way.
