Through a strategic combo of expert voices and celebrity advocacy, we helped two women’s health innovators establish a platform for health equity.

THE CHALLENGE

Women’s health leader Hologic launched Project Health Equality to increase awareness around preventive breast cancer screenings and to combat health disparities affecting Black women. We knew we needed both an influencer voice who could connect emotionally to women of color and credible experts who could speak to systemic issues.

We helped identify — and elevate — these voices. We secured Grammy Award-winning artist Mary J. Blige as spokesperson and collaborated with Linda Goler Blount, Pr esident of the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI), the nation’s first nonprofit focused on health equity for Black women and girls. Both Blige and Blount helped us achieve significant awareness across the United States that undoubtedly saved the lives of Black women.

After Project Health Equality ended, BWHI asked Vault to help expand its long-term visibility to continue advancing health equity conversations well into the future.

OUR APPROACH

For Hologic’s Project Health Equality

  • Develop a full campaign linking preventive screening awareness with Hologic’s Project Health Equality messaging
  • Secure Mary J. Blige as spokesperson and negotiate sponsorship of her Good Morning Gorgeous tour, including Public Service Announcements (PSAs)  that play before each show
  • Leverage the expertise of Linda Goler Blount and other experts for interviews and articles that ground the campaign in authenticity and credibility
  • Manage media relations, internal communications, social amplification and speechwriting for a White House event with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden

For BWHI’s Thought Leadership Campaign

  • Deploy our LinkedIn Leadership Influence Fast Track (LIFT) Program to grow Linda’s voice and audience
  • Secure national media interviews, op-eds and thought leadership features
  • Identify and support high-profile award and speaking opportunities

  • Delivered more than 1.5 billion impressions across  of campaign deployment
  • Secured coverage in key national outlets such as USA Today, People.com, CBS This Morning, GMA.com, The Root and Forbes 

BWHI Results

  • Earned Linda Goler-Blount a spot on the Forbes 50/50: Impact list alongside Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and MacKenzie (Bezos) Scott
  • Generated more than 175 million annual impressions through earned media features in national outlets such as The New York Times, USA Today and Essence, positioning BWHI and Linda-Goler Blount as leading voices on health equity and go-to experts for reporters
  • Drew an average of 400 daily viewers to LinkedIn content

The result extended beyond awareness for Hologic. It built a long-term platform for a trusted health equity leader. By pairing celebrity authenticity with expert knowledge, Vault turned one campaign into a complementary effort that continues to influence change and save lives.
