When given the opportunity to compete in a contest to come up with the most original names for the newest members of our business community, we immediately rose to the challenge in our normal “Vaultastic” way.
You see, these "new kids on the block" are very special. Not only do they have the important task of discouraging the growth of the geese population, but they also serve as a great, eco-friendly way to keep the grass and sidewalks clean. They are amazingly graceful and quite beautiful -- almost angelic to look at --and their home is a small pond just outside our office windows along Hickory Road.
Have you guessed yet what or who our newest neighbors are? If you did, terrific! Give yourself a pat on the back!
They are ...
Swans.
Soon after bringing the new swans to the pond in our office complex, Brandywine Realty Trust gave each tenant a chance to submit one (and only one) name for the swans -- one male and one female.
The inspiration for our submission was a perfectly executed “great escape” made flawlessly by the swans soon after arriving to the pond. You see, the swans were to live in a fenced-in area for a few weeks -- just to help them acclimate to their new surroundings at the Plymouth Meeting Executive Campus pond until their nest was formed. But instead ... this spry avian duo made a run for it (or did they make a waddle for it?) Agency president Maribeth Roman Schmidt, a live witness to the orchestrated jailbreak, soon noted that our new feathered friends were "a regular Bonnie and Clyde."
The saying “your first instinct is always right” proved true in our case -- because we won the contest with the names Bonnie and Clyde. Yes, that's right, people. We are the proud winners of a catered lunch, compliments of Brandywine Realty Trust.
Since we had so much fun brainstorming names and since the team at Brandywine Realty had so much fun trying to select their top choices for a final community vote, I wanted to share with you our whole list of names. (You’ll have to let us know which names you would have chosen).

And one more late entry……”Reduce” & “MyRent” from one of our partners, Kate Shields.
We would have been surprised and quite disappointed if we didn’t win the contest. After all, we're a PR firm -- and embracing creativity is just what we do.
Now onto planning the naming ceremony…

Is this Bonnie? Is this Clyde? Heck if we know. But thanks for the free lunch, swan!
