In President Obama’s State of the Union address last January, he closed his speech with the following sentiment: “… But a new year has come. A new decade stretches before us … Let's seize this moment – to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more.”
In August, the ladies of the Vault took the President’s direction to heart, gathering at the Blue Bell Country Club to review the “State of the Agency.” And, my fellow Americans, I’m happy to report that the State of the Agency is strong!
This year, Vault was ranked as the Philadelphia area’s 5th largest PR firm by revenue and one of the region's “Best Places to Work,” both by The Philadelphia Business Journal. This success only promises to continue – thanks to the wonderful clients we serve and the fantastic, hard-working team our partners have built.
As the President stated, “Let’s seize this moment.” And, seize the moment we did! As we gathered at our annual retreat, we recalled some of the great work we provided our clients, such as the millions of media impressions we earned, the social media campaigns we launched and the crises we managed and coached them through.
We also “started anew,” sharing best practices on how to strengthen our commitment to our current client roster, while looking ahead at the future of our agency “to carry the dream forward.” For 2011, we’ve already welcomed a few new clients to the Vault family – and we can’t wait to start managing their communications needs.
Last, we “strengthened our union once more” by connecting as one team – all 18 of us. In the busy day-to-day shuffle that is life, it’s easy to get lost in our own work, not fully realizing the wonderful things happening around us. Together, we recharged and reconnected – celebrating not only our accomplishments, but our agency.
