Never Have I Ever….
Never have I ever thrown a cocktail party where I work.
Never have I ever had 200+ people RSVP to my direct line.
Never have I ever had flashbacks of college while 15 of my colleagues got ready in the employee bathroom.
Never have I ever thought I would meet Kerri Strug.
Never have I ever thought I would see 2 light-up bars and palm trees in the same place where I handle invoices.
Never have I ever been so concerned/furious with ONEBOX.
Never have I ever thought I would share a Bellini with three of my bosses.
Never have I ever been ravenous for shrimp with avocado.
Never have I ever been so proud of my colleagues.
Please allow me to explain:
On Tuesday, September 9, 2008, Vault Communications, Inc. officially arrived. The first floor of 610 W. Germantown Pike did not see this one coming and frankly, neither did I. The mood of the entire day would’ve reminded you of your wedding day or a huge 40th surprise party (neither of which I have experienced but I am assuming that is what it feels like). The food, the wine, the flowers, and the blue light-up bars were just a few aspects of what made the night an absolute blast. The hors d'oeuvres from Bacchus Catering were amazing and the flower arrangements from Robertson’s Flowers were gorgeous.
Within the sea of colleagues, friends and family, two-time U.S. Olympian and 1996 Gold Medalist stood in the conference room - Kerri Strug was in the building, thanks to Patty. The world famous vaulter was in the Vault (as was the 1992 warm-up outfit)! Pretty awesome.
After the handshakes and business card exchanges ended, I drove home with an overwhelming feeling of happiness. Within that happiness I felt proud, lucky, thankful…all the feelings you get when you think of your family.
