A Little Late to the Blog Party

So, I'm a bit behind on the blog initiative but after PestWorld 2008 (No, you read that correctly), I'm all over it.  It isn't often that you get to spend a week where rodent infestations, ant biology and termite control are completely appropriate topics of conversation at all times of the day.  However, when experiencing PestWorld, the annual convention for the National Pest Management Association, you have the chance to interact with some of the country's top pest professionals.

Sure, it may not seem glamorous but PestWorld certainly brings out the best in this industry.  Every time I attend this convention, I feel inspired by the passion and commitment exemplified by those in attendance.  The members of this industry recognize their important role as "Protectors of Public Health and Property" and they take that role seriously.  With various educational sessions to attend, NPMA members consistently work to increase their knowledge and skills as pest professionals.  In fact the level of professionalism is top notch.

Again this year, the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) hosted its annual reception at the Gaylord National during.  Held in the Cherry Blossom Atrium, it was beautful and we were proud to host PPMA Guardians and Contributors and celebrate their commitment to the organization with the Modern Museum of PPMA, which highlighted much of the success that the organization has experienced via its PR efforts.

Check out some of the fabulous displays at the "Modern Museum of PPMA"
