I’ve been on some pretty cool business trips in my almost two years at Vault.
I’ve taken the train to New York numerous times for media opportunities for KIWI Shoe Care and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I’ve flown to Chicago to “woman” the KIWI table at the United Airlines Image Fair. I’ve even made my way to Los Angeles to facilitate dance lessons with Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough of Dancing with the Stars for the winners of our KIWI Dancing Sweepstakes.
Now you’re probably thinking, what could be better than spending time with two celebrity dancers? (Well, maybe you're thinking that.)
The answer is…spending the majority of my week in Mexico. That’s right, Mexico.
Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, my colleague, Brianna Fisher and I got out our passports and hopped on a plane to the beautiful Riviera Maya. What were we doing there? How did we land this awesome business trip?
Here’s the lowdown:
Our client, AMResorts, who manages and operates four different resort brands—Zoëtry Resorts, Secrets Resorts, Dreams Resorts and Now Resorts—in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, had two very special guests visiting Now Jade Riviera Cancun last week. The guests, Jorge & Alexa Narvaez from San Diego, California, are currently a YouTube sensation and taking the online world by storm with their music videos and vlogs. You may recognize them from their recent appearance on Ellen or even seen their covers of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and The Magic Zeros and “Unthinkable” by Alicia Keys, which have both received millions of views on their YouTube channel.
Alexa is your everyday six-year-old, but with one very unique quality—she loves to sing her heart out. And Jorge, he’s your typical dad, trying to make a living and set an example for his children. However, Jorge does one thing a little different than most dads. He stresses the importance of using music to create family moments in his household.
While at Now Jade, we met with Jorge and Alexa and filmed a number of videos to be posted on YouTube.
And as a bonus, here’s a sneak peek at some of our filming:
