Kate Shields Vice President & Managing Partner

"Who said you can't go home?"

Well before Bon Jovi went country with that tune (and made a mint with those highly annoying Jersey tourism commercials), Kate Shields knew it was "alriiight alriiight alriiiight" to come home.

Kate began her career at the agency in 1998, in which time a client sent her to Guam (no, seriously) with a crack team of scientists and golf course superintendents to battle weeds and fungi on the fairways. She even got to watch Monday Night Football "LIVE" on Tuesday afternoon. Kate came back as Vice President & Partner in 2005 - complete with a better golf score (well ...maybe not - but hey, she's a lefty).

Between her tenures with us, Kate served as brand communications manager at Campbell Soup Company, where she led several national consumer campaigns and rubbed elbows with a couple of NFL mothers (come on, you know you've seen the Chunky soup commercials). She also served as the communication manager for ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment. A true Philadelphian, Kate is a rabid football fan and has been to two Super Bowls (sadly, the same number as her beloved Eagles).

At Vault, Kate provides strategic planning input and account supervision for all clients, while focusing on the agency's new business development and pro bono initiatives.

Kate graduated from the University of Scranton and attained her master's degree at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that provides respite excursions to cancer patients and their loved ones; and was appointed to the Board of Developmental Disablities and Mental Health for Montgomery County. Kate is also actively involved in the Mount Saint Joseph Academy Alumnae Association, and has served as an adjunct professor of communication at La Salle University. Kate lives in Whitemarsh Township along with her husband Marty and three daughters, Annie, Quinn and Maeve.
