Planning a trip to Bosnia, Thailand or Washington D.C. any time soon?
Our resident world traveler, Ela Voluck, is just the person to see.
Our bilingual senior account executive spent the majority of her childhood in Bosnia and Thailand. Her family then made the transatlantic journey to Washington D.C., where they have lived ever since. After graduating with a degree in political science from Dickinson College, Ela headed back home to the nation’s capital, where she fell in love with the sometimes circus-like atmosphere of PR. (Emphasis on the word circus.)
One of Ela’s first clients was Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus -- in her role as an associate account executive at Susan Davis International. Her responsibilities included marching the elephants into each circus town and driving around town with a van full of clowns for media events. (Note: Ela has mentioned she has always had a severe fear of clowns, and no, she didn’t get sympathy pay for embracing her fear.)
Ela also worked for AAA Mid-Atlantic, where she became a media relations pro in the public affairs department. Throw any transportation or travel-related story at her and she’s done it. Texting and driving, winter weather hazards, the Thanksgiving road rush – Ela’s been there, done that.
Her ability to juggle (we can’t resist a good circus pun now!) many different situations has made her a fantastic addition to the Vault team. When Ela is not traveling around the world to visit her family, she lives in Eagleville, Pa. with her husband Josh and their son, Jason.
